We’ve all had times when we’ve woken up in the middle of the night thinking we’ve forgotten to do something important at work.


Imagine if you woke up wondering if you had paid your employees correctly?

Recent well publicised news of large employers getting this wrong, adds a degree of nervousness for smaller businesses who may not have regular access to HR expertise to ensure they have the right processes in place.


In addition, the complexity of Awards and Enterprise Agreements has resulted in some employers misinterpreting or misapplying entitlements, leading to underpayments. Or superannuation payments are missing, or overtime payments aren’t right, and the list goes on…


The Fair Work Ombudsman has made it plain that it is focusing on employers who underpay their staff and they are relentless in their pursuit of redressing these errors for employees – as they should!


Nobody wants to underpay their staff, but sometimes errors happen.
